Day 06: Are we really made of dust?

I remembered this from one of my other studies. When I found this I thought it was awesome how it comfirms God's word ... yes, we are made from the dust of the ground. Thought you might enjoy this poster I found on the internet that teaches students this fact. The first sentence of the poster is my favorite "The human body is one of the most complex structures in nature, yet it is made up of those same basic minerals and elements that are our natural resources." Hope you like! Carol

Awesome poster explaining what our bodies are made of ... http://www.mii.org/store/elements-comprising-the-human-body

Elements Comprising the Human Body
What elements are present in the human body?
Living cells contain anywhere from 65 to 90% water by weight, so it's no surprise that most of the body's mass is oxygen. Carbon, the basic building block of organic compounds, takes second place. Together, the top six body elements - oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus - account for about 99% of the body's mass.

But this is like describing a slice of Black Forest chocolate cake as "mostly carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen". A list of ingredients completely misses what's essential and interesting about the cake. As Herman Muller put it, "To say that a man is made up of certain chemical element is a satisfactory description only for those who intend to use him as a fertilizer."
